This conceptual design is intended to convey several intangibles relating to this elementary education addition and renovation project. The work attempts to convey an understanding of some of the important contextual constraints and issues specific to past, present, and future neighborhood and School District associations with the building and site. The design focuses attention on maintaining and enhancing daylight to classrooms, creating classroom equity, improving pedestrian access, long-term enrollment growth, and establishing a vision toward elevating a sense of pride of place.
