The Anchor

Prior to designing the larger scaled additions and renovations project for Gordinier Hall, K&KA was engaged to execute improvements to the existing first floor level “Anchor” venue within Millersville University’s conference and food service center. Spacious student lounge and casual dining areas are organized around continuous floor to ceiling windows at garden level, reorganized circulation and food service spaces, and expanded restroom facilities. The overall aesthetic provides a warm and comfortable setting afforded to students during their collective down-time. The interior features ashlar pattern tile floors and cherry wood veneer partitions. Sun glare at windows is controlled with exterior black canvas awnings and automated window shades. The retail food venue incorporates a full service kitchen with grille, coffee bar, and beverage center.
