Wyomissing Residence

Renovations were required to recreate and expand the master bedroom suite and guest room of a one-story suburban home built by the owners as a young couple in the 1960’s. Desirous of remaining in the house for their retirement years, the new addition design involved the selective demolition of three bedrooms and a bathroom. The client requested that spatial relationships create the opportunity for increased natural daylight and more generous ceiling heights from those of the existing home. Custom casework and large frameless doors fabricated from veneer and solid figured maple are incorporated into 7-foot high partitions integral to the organization of private and shared program elements. The master bath features Tiger Maple cabinetry, flamed and honed Travertine marble, and polished Uba Tuba granite surfaces.
