Canal Street Pub & Restaurant c. 1888

The site of the historic Reading Hardware Company complex of buildings is the home of the first brewery in Reading since Prohibition. The adaptive reuse of the four-story brick industrial building affords spacious dining areas, a full service bar and a wine bar for the Canal Street Pub and Restaurant, as well as production space for the Neversink Brewery. The pub and restaurant exude a hip, modernized, pre-depression era industrial atmosphere for 180 patrons in a variety of sociably open and intimately private dining conditions. Basement level copper brewing casks are visible from the first floor bar and dining areas. K&KA executed National Register of Historic Places form work and tax credit applications. Partners Design of Bernville coordinated logo and graphic design for the restaurant and brewery.
